Thank God for Christian Ladies Who Are Dedicated to Christ and

His Church and Live as an Example of that Priority before Their Children.

The Church Would Be Paralyzed without Godly Women Committed to Christ’s Work.

The Apostle Paul sets down the Design for a Godly Woman Functioning  in Her Church :

Consider the Passage in this Translation from the Greek Language:

“And I want women to be modest in their appearance.

They should wear decent and appropriate clothing

And not draw attention to themselves by the way they

Fix their hair or by wearing gold or pearls or expensive clothes.

For Women who claim to be devoted to God should make themselves attractive by the good things they do. Women should listen and learn quietly and submissively. I do not let women teach men or have authority over them. Let them listen quietly. For God made Adam first, and afterward He made Eve.

And it was the woman, not Adam, who was deceived by Satan, and sin was the result. But Women will be saved through childbearing and by continuing to live in faith, love, holiness, and modesty.”

B. Her Future Expectation. ( V. 15)

1. She Is Saved By The Birth of A Child – Jesus Christ.

Every Mother IS NOT going to Heaven simply Because She Is A Mother.

2. Godly Mothers Join With the Creator God.

a. Producing  The Next Generation Physically and Spiritually.

b. Providing Obedience to God’s Redemptive Plan.

As our walk through 1 Timothy continues we examine the importance of being found faithful.

“Wouldn’t it be great if life had an Instruction Book, a set of directions that lead you to a productive, rewarding life so that at its end you can nod in satisfaction and declare  ” Mission Completed”? It Does !  Life’s Instruction Book is probably by your bed or on a living room table. IT’S THE BIBLE ! It is given by God to guide you through life. But for it to do you any good, you must rad it; you must do your homework.

The Bible Which is Our Doctrine teaches us :

Do Away with Arrogance; There is No Thankfulness in the World; But We Should Be Thankful.

Thankfulness – Gratitude Is One of The Keys to True Victory in Christ Jesus.

We Must Realize Where we Came from Before we Can Know Where We’re Going.

I. Being Found Faithful Exemplifies Gratitude. (V. 12)

A. The Object of Our Gratefulness Is Jesus Christ.

B. Because He Has ENABLED Us, We ARE Faithful.

II. Deliverance from Our Past Brings Faithfulness in the Present. (V.13)

A. Our Past Was Unfaithfulness.

B. Our Past Brought Slander, Injury, and Hurt.

C. God’s Mercy Gives Us Reason to Be Faithful.

III. Realizing What Jesus Has Done for Us Should Merit Faithfulness. (VV. 14-17)

A. In Him We Have Abundant Grace, faith, and Love. (V.14)

B. In Him We Have Forgiveness and Salvation. (V.15)

C. In Him We  Are To Be Faithful for the Sake of Others. (V.16)

D. In Faithfulness, We Honor the King of Kings, our God. (V.17)

Would You Pray ?: “Lord, I Thank you that Our Church has been given a unique place in your kingdom. Help me to turn from sin and self and deliver me so that I may be used by you in this church. Help me to begin by reading your Word, The Bible, Every Day and putting You and My Church First .”

As we continue our journey through Paul’s first letter to Timothy, we encounter the importance of adhering to strong Biblical Doctrine.  In a world where we are pulled in so many different directions by opinions, thoughts, ideas, and beliefs, we need a firm place to plant our feet. Paul reminds us that when we stand on truth and sound Biblical doctrine, we are not easily moved.

Our Doctrine: Authoritative Belief Coming from the Bible.

Our Lives are framed and ordered by Biblical Doctrine.

The Bible Is Given to Us as a Rule and Guide for our Faith and Practice.

I. The Purpose of Doctrine is Love. (V.5)

A. It Is Love Without Division: God is not the Author of Confusion.

B. It Is Love from a “Pure Heart”.

1. Redeemed by the Blood of Jesus.

2. Cleansed by the Blood of Jesus

C. It is Love from a “Good Conscience”.

1. Nothing Between Ourselves and Jesus.

2. Nothing Between Ourselves and Others.

D. It Is Love from an “Unfeigned Faith.”

1. Without Hypocrisy.

2. Transparency: Not Pretending to be what One Is Not.

II. The Perversion of Doctrine is Legalism. (VV. 6-11)

A. Having “Twisted Out of Joint” Causing Pain to the Whole Body. (V.6)

B. Teaching Something That was Never Intended or Interpreted as such. (V.7)

C. Failure to Understand We Are Under GRACE not under the LAW. (VV.8-11)

1. Sound Doctrine is the Glory of the Blessed God. (V.11)

2. The Pounding of Legalism never leads people to the Christ or His Church.

Doctrine: “Whosoever shall call upon the Name of the Lord shall be Saved.”

The Redeemed  Have an Abundant Life in Jesus Christ the Lord.

A “Saved Person” has His Name Written in the “Lamb’s Book of Life”.

Would you Pray ?: ” Heavenly Father, I tend to perceive Myself and My Church Life better than it really is. Enable me to see where I really am in my walk with you. Enable me to see where I really am  in regards to this Church. Give me the courage to face the truth and change for your Glory.”

We begin a new journey on this podcast, a walk through 1 Timothy.  Paul’s letter to his son in the faith is not only great for young people to study and apply to their lives, it’s wonderful for Believers of all ages to study and be reminded of just what it means to stand firm in times when it seems so many others are wavering.  At the end of the sermon there is a prayer (which is printed below) that we encourage you to consider to truly pray and let God work in your life in the way it suggests.

Though for All Ages, First and Second Timothy is Mainly  a Guide  for Young People.

Young People Need Encouragement for the Task facing Them Today.

Letters to Timothy are a Rule and Guide for Our Faith and Practice in Today’s World.

As Paul, It is Necessary to Have a Testimony (V.1) – Notice His:

1. Persecutor to Preacher.

II. Stay away From Pernicious Effects. (V.4)

“Pernicious” – Harmfully Spread (contagious) in Hidden and Injurious Manner.

III. Heed The Exhortation to Quell Tide of Heresy. (V. 4)

Would you pray ? : “Lord, I confess to keeping my Christianity comfortable and safe. I am afraid of what you would do if you were in total control. Plant in my heart  a desire for true revival. Give me a glimpse of YOU that will bring the rest of my life in focus. Awaken my desires for holiness within me. Give me the courage to seek You with my whole heart so that I may honor you.”

What the Bible says about the coming antichrist :

and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God. • This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you heard • was coming and now is in the world already. 1 John 4:3

Children, it is the last hour, and as you have heard that antichrist is coming, so now many antichrists have come. Therefore we know that it is the last hour. 1 John 2:18

Who is the liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, he who denies the Father and the Son 1 John 2:22

For many deceivers have gone out into the world, those who do not confess the coming of Jesus Christ in the flesh. Such a one is the deceiver and the antichrist. 2 john 7
