“Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed.” Awana Leaders: Jeffery & Chrissy Chavis Begins: Wednesday, August 15th @ 6:00 p.m. AWANA is a weekly bible-based ministry serving children in prek– 5th grade that includes bible verse memorization and game time. AWANA classes meet in the Family Life Center.
Upward Directors: Berry & Carol Crosby Upward is an evangelistic sports ministry for boys and girls in grades pre-k—8th grade. For the 07-08 Upward Basketball Season, everyone must attend one basketball evaluation. The evaluation will take place at Southside Baptist Church Family Life Center (enter on the side facing the Alma Hwy). The evaluation times will be Saturday, November 10 between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm. Early registration cost per child for basketball is $25.00. After November 10th, add $20.00. Practice begins the week of Monday, November 26—coaches will provide you with the practice times. The first upward game will be Friday, January 4, 2008. Awards Celebration will be Friday, February 29, 2008.
